2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT goes on sale in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Suzuki Malaysia has expanded its local lineup with the addition of a new sport-touring motorcycle, called the GSX-S1000GT. Based on the revised GSX-S1000 aluminum frame, the new bike promises a true grand touring riding experience for enthusiasts. Let’s see the first impression of this new hunk in town.

Design

The bike features edgy styling with a slanted nose combined with a pair of horizontally arranged LED headlights, V-shaped running light, alien-like fairing, non-adjustable windshield and turn signals side LEDs. It also gets panniers as standard targeting customers who want a sporty liter-class bike with luggage-carrying convenience.



The bike rolls on 17-inch wheels and the saddle height measures 810mm. With a 19 liter fuel tank, it tips the scales at 226 kg.

Colors

The two body colors available for the 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000GT are Triton Blue Metallic and Reflective Blue Metallic.



Engine

This Japanese grand tourer is powered by a 999cc Euro5 inline-four engine which is good at generating a power output of 152PS at 11,000rpm and a peak torque of 106Nm at 9,250rpm. Power is sent to the ground via a six-speed manual gearbox with a quick-shifter and chain-driven final drive.
