Beijing and Taipei – HERE Technologiesthe leading location data and technology platform, today announced that it is powering leading motorcycle manufacturer, aeonmotor Aftermarket recently launched CROXERA® M Smart Mirror with Safety Features, and its CROXERA® Smart Dashboard and CROXERA® Companion App, with Turn-by-Turn Route Guidance (TBT).

According to a market research report^[1], the global “connected motorcycles” market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 46.9% from 2021 to 2027. A connected motorcycle is equipped with an internet-connected device that monitors and controls embedded systems, such as real-time navigation and traffic. , driver assistance systems and equipment status. The arrival of 5G and the increase in internet penetration have increased the demand from motorcyclists for this type of connected functionality.

Since 2018, the HERE SDK (software development kit) powered Aeonmotor’s smart dashboard known as CROXERA® and its associated mobile app of the same name to provide drivers with timely TBT navigation advice and speed limit warnings that adapt to changes in real time. This data provides passengers with an accurate estimated time of arrival and distance to destination integrated into their dashboard, without the need to reference a separate device.

Using a highly compressed proprietary data format, the HERE SDK quickly preloads maps while providing offline functionality such as route calculation, location search and TBT navigation.

In March 2022, Aeonmotor launched its new CROXERA® M smart rearview mirror and CROXERA® EDGE mobile device app. The HERE SDK has been extended to support these new products. For example, the CROXERA® M smart rear view mirror uses sensors to alert drivers via an LED icon and LED light bar if they are over a speed limit or when there is a speed camera nearby.
